I had a agent from this office lease a property for me. My contention is they signed a lease with a tenant without verifying her employment. Later they stated under oath to a judge in small claims court that they called the applicants work but the phone kept ringing. Would you sign a lease with someone where their work never picks up the phone. But ofcoarse they feel they bare no responsibility. Unethical business practices to say the least. Admit no guilt if something goes wrong with a transaction. Is this really somebody you want to work with. Ofcoarse this is only my side of the story. But believe me. I had to evict some pretty scary people and I would never have a reason to just make this all up.

Coldwell Banker, Calabasas March 22, 2022 Mr. Brian Paster in June 2021 hired a leasing agent assigned to your office, for the leasing of 22139 Burbank #7, Woodland Hills with tenants moving in July, 2021. Mr. Paster informed me that he required eviction of these tenants resulting from lack of due diligence on the part of the leasing agent. I have known and worked with Brian since 1998, and have know him well to be a fine, caring and diligent person. I have known his past tenants of 22139#7 fairly well – and never with a problem. I am very comfortable to state that if Mr. Paster has a complaint reference the leasing process, his complaint by his very nature is very real. Very truly Robert Jaffe, MD

Beware of team Julie Bate and Doug Abertman. They have no integrity and lied to us as well as the 80 yr old widow seller several times! They purposely didn't disclose MANY problems with the property and their communication with the previous owner was terrible. It was so bad that she was still living in the house after we closed because they never properly communicated to her the details of the closing. When approached about this problem, we were told she was our problem now. The worst part is we were left several days behind on our move-in because of the previous owner still living in the home. Doug actually went behind our backs and called our painter to delay him hours and hours the day before our belongings arrived. He did this after we had told him our painters and asbestos removers had lost hours upon hours of time because the previous owner was still in the house. We needed every last minute to get the house finished before our moving trucks arrived. He just walked off the property and called our painter without telling us, pretending to be representing us to the painters. When we called the manager at the Coldwell Banker office, he was dismissive and patronizing towards my wife, telling her to calm down, drink some water and cool off (since she is 7 months pregnant). He lied and tried to turn everything around on the poor painter and workers. The only stand up thing done by this real estate brokerage was Julie showing up the morning our movers arrived while the painters were still furiously painting. She felt badly for what Doug did to us and helped that morning to try to make up for it. We didn't hear from Doug for 5 days, when he randomly showed up with a few cheap pool toys and pretended nothing happened. He never apologized, he just kept changing his story. This brokerage made our move-in a complete nightmare. Thank goodness, we had an amazing agent on our end who constantly helped pick up the pieces left by them.

The team here is incredible! Each agent and staff member are not only knowledgable and experienced, but they are also kind thoughtful, and supportive. So lucky to be a part of this team!
